The 2022 Domaine du Meix Foulot Mercurey Blanc is eco-responsibly farmed Chardonnay from 20 hectares perched high on a hill above the entirety of Mercurey — one of the Côte Chalonnaise's most historic addresses, situated among the ruins of the Château de Montaigu, one of the last bastions of the Dukes of Burgundy. Agnès Dewé de Launay is the eighth generation of her family at this domaine, carrying on the work of her great-great-grandfather Édouard de Suremain, who began defending the Mercurey terroir in 1923 — thirteen years before the official AOC decree.
