The 2022 Joan d'Anguera "Planella" is Demeter-certified biodynamic 65% Garnacha and 35% Carignan from 2 hectares of vines ranging from 15 to 70 years old in the La Planella vineyard within Finca l'Argata, Darmós — fermented in concrete with indigenous yeasts, three weeks on skins, 14 months in old French barrique, unfined, unfiltered. Where the Altaroses is all transparency and floral lift, Planella brings the structure — the Carignan providing backbone and spine, the Garnacha keeping things alive. Same brothers, same philosophy, same century-old family address — just a different corner of the vineyard doing something harder and more interesting.
