The 2023 Duroché "Lavaut Saint-Jacques" is organically farmed Pinot Noir from 1.2 hectares on one of Gevrey's most celebrated premier cru slopes — a south-southeast facing hillside of thin limestone soil directly below the grand cru band, where the proximity to Clos Saint-Jacques is felt in the wine's structure and elevation. 

Completely destemmed, native yeast, no sulfur until bottling, aged in partially new oak without racking for twelve months. Pierre Duroché took over in 2005 as the fifth generation and has spent two decades quietly making this one of the most precise and sought-after addresses in Gevrey — the kind of domaine serious collectors find before everyone else does.
