2022 Maison Jessiaume Bourgogne Chardonnay

$39.00

The Jessiaume story starts in 1850 in Santenay, but the chapter that matters began in 2014, when Megan McClune — fresh from Alex Gambal — took over the winemaking and dragged this old Santenay house into the low-intervention era: hand harvests, natural yeasts, no new oak, the vineyards moving organic. JBJ is the maison bottling, the négociant arm — Chardonnay from parcels around Santenay and the Côte Chalonnaise, pressed whole-cluster and raised ten months on its lees in neutral barrels. The 2022 is pure, ripe Burgundy without the price tag: green apple, white flowers, a little pastry richness, and that chalky Santenay cut underneath. This is the bottle you open on a Tuesday and feel smart about.
