2020 Chateau Tertre De La Mouleyre Saint- Emilion Grand Cru

Around 125 cases made, depending on the vintage. Pure, soaring, and chiseled — violet, dark cherry, limestone minerality, and ultra-fine tannins with a finish that builds slowly and stays long. The 2020 Château Tertre de la Mouleyre is certified organic since 2001 — 80% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc from 1.5 hectares of 30-to-50-year-old vines on clay and limestone in Saint-Émilion, vinified in a cramped garage with no set recipe: everything adapted to what the vintage demands. Kermit Lynch called it "more classic Bordeaux, old school — lean, fine, and structured… chiseled, very 1981, before Peynaud and Parker." Eric Jeanneau grew up running free among his grandfather's vines at age six and never looked back — three degrees in viticulture later, he returned to this tiny family domaine in 1995 and has been making one of the most honest small-production Saint-Émilions in the appellation ever since. The 2020 Right Bank was exceptional — this is the proof.
