Chiavennasca otherwise known as Nebbiolo finds its home in the Lombardy valley of Valtellina with the Swiss alps in the background. This cool climate produces Nebbiolo that is delicate with airy crunchy cherry fruit and hints of pot pourri. The wine puts on weight as it opens and is an ideally suited pairing with mushroom risotto.
