The crown jewel of the domaine. Always the most regal and elegant of the quartet of reds, this 1.9-hectare walled monopole contains vines planted as far back as 1955, across multiple soil types — and despite its curious north-northeast exposure, produces a wine of extraordinary finesse and superb aging potential. Stewed cherries, wild strawberries, earth, and clove are framed by real pedigree and depth. Only 575 cases produced annually. Decant generously.
Boeuf Bourguignon is a classic pairing for a reason.
