Based off of 1606 writings by G.B. Croce, this is a brisk, light, fresher version of Nebbiolo bottled in its youth to provide a little fizz. This style of wine was well liked by Thomas Jefferson, which he wrote about and imported into the U.S. He said of the wines, "about as sweet as the silky Madeira," "as astringent on the palate as Bordeaux," and "as brisk as Champagne".
A must try.
