Around 400 cases made, depending on the vintage. Racy, precise, and full of energy — lemon, white orchard fruit, chalk dust, and a mineral lift that cuts clean through a bright focused finish.
The 2024 Fichet Auxey-Duresses Blanc is organically farmed Chardonnay from two old-vine parcels — Nampoillon and Largillas — on the higher, cooler slopes just over the hill from Meursault, 18 months in mostly used oak then tank, six-year barrel rotation, very little lees stirring so nothing obscures the site.
Jean-Philippe Fichet is perhaps the most obsessive terroir purist in Meursault — severe pruning for yields a fraction of what neighbors allow, farming from dawn to dusk by hand. Auxey-Duresses gives him extra altitude and cut at a fraction of the price.
