Jean-Marie Fourrier runs his family's Gevrey domaine with a light hand, picking late and using almost no new oak. Aux Echezeaux sits on the Morey side of Gevrey-Chambertin, and the old vines here give a village wine with real depth, all red cherry, raspberry and a little spice. The 2024 is bright and precise, built more on purity of fruit than power. Give it a quick decant and pour it with duck breast or a roast chicken with mushrooms.
