Bright, taut, mineral — pure Aligoté with nothing to hide behind. 100% Aligoté from a 0.4-hectare parcel in Corgoloin, vinified in tank with minimal intervention. Farmed without chemicals. Estimated 250 cases produced. This is Didier Fornerol's final vintage. He spent 16 years at Domaine de l'Arlot under Jean-Pierre de Smet — first as vineyard manager, then cellar master — before returning to his family's six-hectare estate in Corgoloin, a stretch of the Côte d'Or with no Premier or Grand Cru, sitting in the gap between Nuits-Saint-Georges and Corton. His peers thought he was crazy. Twenty-five years later the wines have a cult following. He's leased his vines and walked away. When these are gone, they're gone.
