Around 175 cases made, depending on the vintage. Medium-bodied, fresh, and precisely drawn — lively red cherry, crushed strawberry, forest floor, a whisper of mushroom, fine delineation, and a tensile mineral finish with what one taster called the soft-rough texture of tweed. The 2023 Domaine Fourrier "Clos Solon" is biodynamically farmed old-vine Pinot Noir from a 0.55-hectare parcel that runs from Les Porroux near Chambolle to the base of Cheseaux near Gevrey — limestone, clay, and sand, cold-soaked 3–4 days, native yeast, 18–20 months in neutral French oak, zero sulfur added, unfiltered. Jean-Marie Fourrier trained with Henri Jayer, staged at Drouhin Oregon, and came home to Gevrey to build one of the Côte de Nuits's most celebrated estates on a single conviction: "Oak is for slow breathing of the wine, not for taste." His daughter Louise now carries the biodynamic work forward — same 10 hectares, same philosophy, same address since the 1930
