Roughly 1,700–1,900 cases made. Cassis, dark raspberry, violet, warm spice, blueberry, and a deep forest floor — generous and layered, with a smooth mid-palate and a long finish that carries both the richness of 2023 and the limestone grip that defines this vineyard. The Clos des Épeneaux is one of Burgundy's great monopoles — a 5.2-hectare walled premier cru in the heart of Pommard, farmed by the same family since 1826, certified organic and biodynamic, with vines ranging from 18 to over 80 years old, each plot vinified separately and assembled after 18–24 months in barrel. Two centuries of unbroken ownership — the same walls, the same soil, the same family who helped found Domaine de la Romanée-Conti. Drink from 2027, but it will reward a decade of patience.
