While much of Domaine Rollin grows in primarily the village of Pernand-Vergelesses, this comes from the lesser known appellation of Aloxe Corton. It is often described as more earthy, the more rustic, the warrior to Pernand’s minerally charm.
It’s safe to say that the rugged, more serious earth of Aloxe is well suited to beef, to mushrooms and farmhouse stews.
