The small plots of old vines that make up our Samaniego village wine are located at the foot of the Sierra Cantabria mountain range, between 570 and 620 metres above sea level. Under these conditions, ripening is one of the slowest and latest of the wines in our range. Samaniego tends to give muscular and structured wines, but with a firm but velvety tannin. The fruit has notes of blackberries and sour cherries, with a menthol and spicy complexity. It is a wine with the body and depth to age for decades, but also shows remarkable grace in its youth.
