Régis Moro — painter turned vigneron — farmed this 42-hectare estate organically from day one in 1984, decades before it was fashionable. When the Amoreau family of Château Le Puy purchased the estate in 2022 they found hundreds of bottles of perfectly cellared back vintages in the cellar. The 2010 is one of Bordeaux's great vintages, from one of its most principled addresses, now in its sweet spot. Drink now through 2030.
Dried currant, tobacco leaf, and crushed stone. The 2010 Closerie du Pelan is certified organic, 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot from clay-limestone and Fronsac molasse in Francs-Côtes-de-Bordeaux — wild yeasts, large wooden casks, neutral oak, unfined, unfiltered.
