Every year we head to France to meet up with wine makers and importers to taste fresh vintages and find new bottles to stock in our shop. We make Paris our home base as we explore natural wine and cheese shops, independent retailers and neighborhood restaurants. We agree with Hemingway... "Paris is a moveable feast."

Our shop is not driven, curated, or cared for by an algorithm or a corporate bottom line...our shop reflects our taste, passions, experiences and curiosities.

We love small independent shops — they are the lifeblood of towns, villages, and cities all over the world; and we have retail and hospitality in our blood — with family connections to a D.C. pharmacy and luncheonette (Michael's grandfather, Leon, pictured), Brooklyn wine shop, and seaside restaurants. 

We believe “little drops of water / make the mighty ocean,” so whether it's buying a bottle of small grower wine, or supporting your local bakery or skate shop, these small but important decisions add up to have an outsized impact over time.
