Like many breweries, this one was founded in a humble garage turned home brewery by two brothers. This summer, we visited their superlative brewery in Freeport, Maine and were blown away by the experience. The full range of beers were delightfully and deliciously handcrafted. It was more than just the beer and the buzz and the wood fired pizza. This is a company that does what's right: employees are paid health insurance, three weeks paid vacation, and parental leave. 1% of their annual profits are donated to environmental nonprofits. Good beer made by kind people.
