A burst of youth in the young vine Syrah from the Jean Claude crew. It has more in common with say Pinot Noir and Gamay than it does with the sticky, saturated and black fruited reds of say Cornas or Cote-Rotie. A lovely pairing with NYC style pizza littered with fresh herbs like basil and oregano.
