2024 Dauny Sancerre “les Terres Blanches”

Rooted in the legendary slopes of Champtin since 1683, Vignoble Dauny is as storied as Sancerre gets. Now in its thirteenth generation, the Dauny family has been farming certified organic since 1964 — a commitment to the land that long predates the modern natural wine movement and speaks to a deeply held philosophy of stewardship over shortcuts.

The Terres Blanches — "white soils" — takes its name from the limestone and chalk that define this parcel, and you can taste it. Sauvignon Blanc from 25-year-old vines expresses itself here with the region's signature precision: zesty citrus, white grapefruit, and a cool, chalky minerality that lingers on the finish. No artificial fertilizers, pesticides, or synthetic interventions — just clean, focused, classically structured Sancerre.

A natural companion to fresh oysters, grilled branzino, or a classic goat's cheese salad. Its bright acidity also cuts beautifully through a light cream sauce pasta.
