Chartogne-Taillet remains the only récoltant-manipulant (Grower) producer in the village of Merfy. After studying with legendary producer Ansleme Selosse, Alexandre Chartogne returned taking over the family’s estate in 2006. He’s had his hands in the soil ever since, constantly evolving, observing and questioning how to best express each individual parcel. If one didn’t know, you might think he was farming a grand cru in burgundy.
