2011 Chateau Massereau Cuvee K

The flagship wine of one of our favorite Bordeaux estates that flies way under the radar except on a few retailers shelves in NYC. Cuvee K is usually released only when they feel the wine is at peak drinking. There is still a generous amount of fruit mingled with some more savory elements--olives, pencil shavings, herbage. This micro estate produces only two thousand cases of this wine per year. At thirteen years of age this wine is now coming into its full glory at 13 years of age! Pair with a braised leg of lamb or, our favorite--hamburger and fries.
