André Heucq is a fourth-generation grower Champagne house in the tiny village of Cuisles, where the family has been making wine since 1936 — and now Alexandre and Fanny are carrying it into the future. This is a blend of all three Champagne grapes — 40% Chardonnay, 30% Pinot Noir, 30% Pinot Meunier — aged a full 60 months on the lees with just 1g of dosage, so what you're tasting is pure terroir from their rare green illite clay soils. Expect candied fruit, fresh bread, mead, and white pepper on the nose with a creamy, voluminous palate and a long, mineral-driven finish. They plow by horse, farm biodynamically, and the estate is Ecocert certified and entirely self-sustaining — right down to producing their own electricity.
