2024 Pheasant's Tears Vardisperi Rkatsiteli

Dried flowers, rooibos tea, crunchy berries, and a salty, ocean-like finish — gorgeous pink-copper color, more amber wine than rosé. Vardisperi is a rare pink-skinned mutation of Rkatsiteli that was nearly extinct before Pheasant's Tears helped revive it. Hand-harvested, three weeks skin maceration, fermented and aged in buried qvevri clay vessels — some up to 200 years old. Organically farmed, no fining, no filtering, near-zero sulfur.
