Located in a region known for its pure rivers and natural beauty in Tochigi Prefecture, president Ozaki-san's passion for the environment has led Tentaka to use only local ingredients, reuse production byproducts, and earn triple organic certification from Japan, the USDA, and the European Union — one of only two breweries in the world to achieve this.

Made from locally grown organic Gohyakumangoku rice using the traditional Yamahai method, the yeast starter begins naturally without addition, and the area's underground springs provide a pure, triple-filtered water source. The result is a surprisingly spicy nose punctuated by lactic, fresh, and woody notes, with the quality of the rice expressing itself magnificently on a deep, lively palate with a slightly acidic sweetness and a drier, refreshing finish.

Excellent with grilled fish, yakitori, miso-glazed vegetables, or earthy mushroom dishes.
