Notes: in the words of Peter Griebeler, owner and winemaker:
“In recent years, Pinot Blanc has not only established itself along the Mosel – today, Germany boasts the world's largest vineyard area for this grape variety! Our Pinot Blanc is grown on the slopes of Zeltingen and Erden. I matured it for six months in barrel and tank. We like to describe its taste with aromas of yellow fruits, orange, almonds and dried flowers. Estate grown and bottled. 12% alcohol by volume, 6 g/l residual sugar, 6 g/l acidity.” 2024 was another complicated vintage for growers in the Mosel, with periods of rain and humidity requiring extensive vineyard work. The results however are glorious: a fine-boned, racy, pure style of Mosel with great terroir transparency and freshness yet covered in mellifluous fruit so as never to be tart or austere. 2024 will likely be counted among the top recent vintages for the region.
