With an average vine age of nearly 55 years across multiple parcels, the complexity here runs deep.
The 2022 is a textbook village Gevrey. Old-vine Pinot Noir blended from several sites delivers Gevrey's characteristic brawn enveloped in a sumptuous cushion of dark fruit — immediately attractive, with serious structure lurking beneath. A lovely expressive nose of red berry fruit, mineral, and floral notes with a distant touch of redcurrant gives way to a palate of real depth and presence. Cellar-worthy, but irresistible now.
Ideal pairing with duck confit, beef bourguignon, or a mushroom-crusted rack of lamb.
