Traditionally Rioja has been a region that is all about oak, Crianza, Reserva, Gran Reserva. Bideona is bucking that system and taking a more Burgundian approach to Rioja - region-village and single vineyard, showing the complex terrior that exists and the quality of Tempranillo fruit. This reflects as pure and precise cherry, red berry fruits, thyme, fresh acidity, a truly beautiful wine not obscured and muddied with oak.
