Nearly a decade in bottle, this is Mosel Riesling at the threshold of its prime. The Steffensberg is restrained and distinguished by a fine, almost herby piquancy, now deepening beautifully into honeyed complexity, petrol, and preserved lemon, underpinned by crystalline, persistently salty minerality and laser-beam acidity. Patience has been rewarded magnificently.
