Tom and Anne-Marie Hedges planted their flag on Red Mountain — a scorched little ridge in Washington that happens to grow some of the most serious Cabernet in America — back when nobody was watching, and built one of the state's benchmark estates on biodynamic farming and native fermentations.
CMS is their calling card: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah in a Bordeaux-meets-Rhône blend that's all black cherry, plum and dark chocolate with a savory dried-herb edge. It's the rare under-$25 bottle with real structure — chewy enough for a steak, generous enough to drink on its own. An absurd value from one of Washington's founding families.
