The Ellergrub Kabinett is the masterpiece of the Kabinett lineup, the most mineral and dense, the most structured. This is most often the toughest, most complex of the Kabinetts; it can require time.
The 2024 is absolutely psychedelic with acid of 10.5g, 48g of RS and just 7.5%. A relatively petite version of this Kabinett with a deep nose that comes from the large portion of ungrafted vines that are 110-years-old and older. There is a flinty and nearly smokey tone before the yellow fruits arrive in the palate finishing with fine herbal flavors. A zappy and elegant wine.
