We all need some un-heavy, un-oaked white burgundy in our lives. What makes this bottling of Macon different from most is that it has an impactful aroma and flavor on the palate while most other these days are neutral and simply just passable. The reason the Thevent is more singular has to do with the mutation of Chardonnay they have in their vineyard called "Chardonnay-Muscaté " that gives this wine the "there there".
Fun fact, Ernest Hemingway love the white wines from Macon and mentioned them in his book " A Moveable Feast".
