Goyo Garcia Viadero has been making wine in Ribera del Duero since before the area claimed its D.O. status. He’s a bit of a black sheep though, he refuses to follow the trend for over-oaked, over-extracted wines made popular in the 1990’s. Instead he’s producing wine the way his grandparents did, organically dry farmed Tempranillo grown at high elevation, no fining, no filtering, no chemicals, no SO2, basically wine as nature intended.
