Eyrie’s original vineyard, and the home of the hawks that grace the label, was planted in 1965. This is classic soulful Oregon that brought fame to the region. Pretty fruited, saline, good acid, lightweight with a lingering earthy-ness, has me feeling nostalgic for old school french cooking…coq au vin via Melissa Clark from the New York Times.
